Personal Information:
After a decade and a half as a former real estate attorney, I took the opportunity in the downturn of the market to do what I love best, work with horses! My boyfriend and I live in our happy little condo in Attleboro with our dogs Eddie, a 5-year old miniature pinscher rescue, and Purdue, a 2-year old Basenji rescue. My mare Mathilda (Matti) lives at the beautiful Prospect Hill Farm at West Wind on the Lincoln/N. Smithfield, RI border. Matti and I compete in dressage at Second Level, schooling Third Level and we might even try musical freestyle in 2010. My other horse is a hanoverian Filly named Firefly who is growing up in Germany before being imported to the states in 2012. My family lives in Brookline, NH where I grew up riding and showing pintos with my cousin and aunt. After competing in college (UNH Eventing) I went on to law school at Suffolk University, took a few years off from riding and started back in 2003.

Training and Education:
My training began with the lease and subsequent purchase of my mare Mathilda from Jennifer Rizzo, a well known natural barefoot trimmer in eastern MA. Through Jen's guidance, advice, hands-on training and wealth of experience, I began trimming Mathilda on my own and soon took on more clients through friends and barn mates.
I have studied the methods of many practitioners in natural hoofcare, including, but not limited to KC La Pierre and Pete Ramey, a longtime Hoof Rehabilitation Specialist / Practitioner / Author / Clinician. I highly recommend his book "Making Natural Hoof Care Work for You" along with his 10-disc series entitled "Under the Horse" which is a 16-hour Hoof Rehabilitation Clinic with 9 hours of classroom instruction and 7 hours of live trimming on 11 different horses.
Like all barefoot trimmers, my education is ongoing and I attend as many clinics and days on the road with my fellow trimmers as I can.
In February 2010 I will be traveling to GA for a week to train with Todd Jaynes (American Hoof Association and instructor for the Equine Science Academy).
Experience:
From late 2007- present, I have traveled with Jennifer Rizzo and have worked on her client's horses with her guidance and training. This hands-on training has given me an advantage that you cannot get in any classroom, and with this ability, I'd like to take you and your horse to a whole new level of happiness with bare feet. I started taking clients in the summer of 2008 and Happy Feet Trimming was officially launched in December 2008. I currently have 30+ clients on a regular 4-6 week rotation and growing on a weekly basis.
When time allows, I also volunteer my trim work at Live and Let Live Farm in Chichester, NH.
