Mathilda & Mary
Mathilda, known around the barn as Matti, is my 13-year old American Warmblood. She is a draft-cross from Canada and her sire was a Hungarian Warmblood and dam was a Percheron/TB.
Matti has been barefoot almost 10 years now! She has been the ideal student for me to learn my trimming technique on and has shown me both the ways of my mistakes and of my success when it comes to trimming. I cannot thank her enough for all she has given me over these years.
Mathilda and I have succesfully competed at First and Second Level and recently finished our 2010 show season with great success. Our season for 2011 will be at Third Level with a only two scores to go and we will achieve our USDF Bronze Medal.
Matti is the perfect example of a barefoot athlete that not only keeps up with the rest, but can beat some of them too!
